Grapes: Mencía, Brancellao, and others
Lousas is a term in the local Galician dialect for the type of slate soil that dominates in this zone of Ribeira Sacra. Aldea means village, so this wine is the “village wine” bottled in the French fashion of blending grapes from vineyards across the village area into one wine. This wine is 85% Mencía, a traditional red grape from the region. Bright and spicy!
