“Wine made with only grapes, well-kept vineyards, and healthy land.” -AM
Emerging from a winemaking family in Ribera del Duero, Alfredo Maestro grew up among the vines and began his career committed to making wines "by the book." As time went on, Alfredo pursued winemaking practices that reflected the organic nature of his vineyards by stripping the use of additives including sulfur.
Amanda is created with 30-90 year old Garnacha Tintorera vines grown in the Olmos de Duero valley of Rivera del Duero. The vineyard rests on clay-calverous and alluvial soils at 700-1000 meter elevation. The wine is fermented with wild yeasts and sees 20 hours of skin contact before being raised in tank to allow the winter temperatures to naturally clarify the wine before bottling. No sulphur added, unfined, unfiltered.
