Goyo Garcia Viadero comes from one the most highly regarded winemaking families in Ribera del Duero and began producing his own natural wines in 2003. Goyo and his wife Diana farm single plot vineyards throughout Ribera del Duero with a variety of different altitudes and soils so that the vineyard is the focal point of expression.
Joven de Viñas Viejas is Goyo's only un-oaked red wine from a vineyard of dry-farmed Tempranillo at high elevation. The grapes are hand-harvested, de-stemmed, and then fermented with wild yeasts in a steel tank. This wine sees three months of maceration on the skins and is bottled without any added sulphur. Unfined, unfiltered.
