Mathieu Apffel has been making wine in Savoie since 2013. In 2017, he acquired his own land and cellar and produced his first vintage under his own name. Mathieu's vines are 30-70 years old and planted on clay and limestone soils heavy in schist & quartz from ancient glaciers.
