Stéphane Riffault, son to Claude Riffault and the new owner of his estate, is already producing a number of influential wines from the Sancerre region. After converting the vineyards to organic and biodynamic farming practices in 2017, Stéphane's wines communicate the crisp tone of the Kimmeridgian limestone and demonstrate the precision and attention they receive.
The La Noue Sancerre Rouge displays Stéphane's Burgundian influence "that preserves the light and delicate style of Pinot from Sancerre, but layered with a depth of red fruit and black tea flavors." Hand-harvested, it sees a 12 month fermentation in steel tanks and neutral French oak barrels.
