While the “Migan” comes from a combination of parcels the “Migan Chingao” comes from a single site, “Tio Luis”, a 100 year old plot the folks at Envínate value highly. The soils in this plot have a higher proportion of clay, yielding a slightly more concentrated expression of “Migan”. Made in the same way as the regular “Migan” but with no added SO2!! This site is very volcanic and that mineral expression comes across clearly in the wine. This is a bottle that time serves well and can be laid down in the cellar for years to come to allow the smokiness to improve aromatically and better compliment the red fruit and spice.
