Farming Practices: Organic, Sustainable
Goyo Garcia Viadero comes from one the most highly regarded winemaking families in Ribera del Duero and began producing his own natural wines in 2003. Goyo and his wife Diana farm single plot vineyards throughout Ribera del Duero with a variety of different altitudes and soils so that the vineyard is the focal point of expression.
Finca Los Quemados originates from a single vineyard dedicated entirely to Tempranillo grown at high elevation. The grapes are hand-harvested, de-stemmed, and then fermented with wild yeasts in a steel tank. It sees 3 months of maceration on the skins before being raised for 12 months in French oak barriques. Bottled without additional sulphur, it is unfined and unfiltered.
