Stéphane Riffault, son to Claude Riffault and the new owner of his estate, is already producing a number of influential wines from the Sancerre region. After converting the vineyards to organic and biodynamic farming practices in 2017, Stéphane's wines communicate the crisp tone of the Kimmeridgian limestone and demonstrate the precision and attention they receive.
This village level Sancerre is made with a variety of Riffault's vines, aged anywhere from 5 to 52 years. Hand-harvested, this bottling sees a natural yeast fermentation in stainless steel before aging 6 months in concrete tanks.
